Victory Square: Start your tour at Victory Square, one of Bishkek’s most significant historical sites. Established in honor of Kyrgyz soldiers who fought in World War II, the square is adorned with an impressive monument, the Eternal Flame, and is a moving reminder of the country’s sacrifices during the war.
Railroad Station and Frunze Monument: Next we will visit the iconic Soviet-era railroad station and the Frunze Monument, named after Mikhail Frunze, the Bolshevik military leader and revolutionary after whom Bishkek was originally named. Ala-Too Square: Continuing on, we’ll head to Ala-Too Square, Bishkek’s central hub, often used for national celebrations and public gatherings. Here you will witness the changing of the guard and admire the statue of Manas, the hero of Kyrgyzstan’s national epic. The square offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and is the heart of the city’s political life.
Panfilov Park: Next, stroll through the tranquil Panfilov Park, named in honor of General Ivan Panfilov and his heroic division in World War II. This green park has charming alleys, Soviet-era monuments and a tranquil atmosphere perfect for relaxation.
Osh Market: The last stop on our itinerary will be the lively Osh Market, one of the largest markets in Bishkek.
